Marine reserves are fishing protection zones regulated in article 14 of Law 3/2001, of March 26, State Maritime Fishing, whose basic objective is the protection and regeneration of living marine resources through the regulation of the uses allowed in each one of them, according to their peculiarities.
Therefore, it is necessary to carry out control and surveillance activities to ensure the maintenance of resources. For this, the supply of an ROV (Remote Operated Vehicle) team has been awarded to TMS. These are unmanned underwater vehicles operated by technicians from a safe environment.
This project contributes to the conservation of the seabed and is financed by European Next Generation funds.
