Last October 2022, TMS signed the contract with the Spanish Tax Agency to carry out the renovation of the air conditioning system and the navigation and communications system of the Special Operations vessel Petrel.
This offshore patrol vessel was built as an oceanographic vessel in Portugal in 1970. After suffering a fire in 1991, she was acquired by the Rodman shipyard in Vigo. The Petrel is a 73m long vessel with two 3,500cv engines and a maximum speed of 30kn

The navigation equipment that it has installed has become outdated, so it is necessary to renew it in order to continue with her surveillance activity. In addition, the air conditioning system, also outdated, is not capable of providing the necessary comfort for the crew during the voyages they undertake.
From TMS, as experts in navigation systems, communications and project management, we decided to present ourselves as bidders for this project. Finally, the Tax Agency awarded us the project as it was the best candidate.

The project will be executed in 2023 and will be delivered in the summer of that same year.
